Over the next two days the ladies were well into making their quilts.

Here are just a few shots of those wonderful creations in the planning stages.

 

 

 

 

 

Judy is coming along nicely with her “Christmas Candies” quilt.

 

 

 

 

Now some people can only thread their needle by sitting in a strange position and others can only sew with their tongue poking out!

Of course morning and afternoon tea were not to be missed so I have included the recipe for the Date Loaf that everyone seemed to enjoy.

Ingredients

*4 wheat bix crushed

*1 cup sugar

*1 Tsp baking soda

*1 cup of hot water

*1 cup chopped dates

*1 tablespoon of butter

*1 beaten egg

*1 cup Self Raising flour

Combine the wheat bix, sugar, soda, butter, hot water and dates in a mixing bowl and stand for 5 minutes.

Mix in beaten egg and SR flour.

Bake in a loaf tin for 30- 40 minutes on 18o degrees or 170 for fan forced.

Use a loaf tin.
